A small number of company pages saw a fresh new format during a limited test. Today, all 200 million company pages are receiving the same treatment. The update was officially pushed out this morning and the new pages will show to all users.

The pages didn’t just get a new look, but also some new features. The most dramatic may well be the Timeline Photo/Google+ Cover Photo/Twitter Header Photo like image on each page. The 646 px by 220px image takes up a large chunk of real estate and adds flair to the page.

Another crucial addition are Featured Updates, which allows users to  a make posts sticky. This is a free tool that allows a piece of content to be highlighted for a time period of up to 48 hours. This placement has been shown to increase views 2x in testing.

See the LinkedIn blog for the official announcement, and check your page for the few features.
