My thought is that Facebook will find a way to monitize it user base. It will just take some time to figure out what works. The problem (or opportunity maybe) is they seem to be casting such a wide net looking for the fish that bite. A narrower focus might help. I could see Facebook becoming a really good local business search site and a place where small business can actually have reasonable advertising costs and decent demographics to work with for targeting ads. The opportunity exists; the trick is doing it without destroying the social aspect or intruding on it too much.

I would seriously like Facebook to come out with an alternate to Adsense. Helps break our dependence on Google

It’s great if someone give a tough time to Adsense because Adsense is having to much strict rules to carry on if we have some other good alternate like your Mention about Facebook answer to Adsense then it will be a great new for all online earner who earn through ads campaign.
