Pamela Parker

Marketing Land and Search Engine Land executive features editor Pamela Parker has been reporting on, writing about and working in digital media and marketing for more than 10 years. She taught herself HTML in 1995 and wrenched a site onto the Web by brute force.

She’s been working in digital media ever since, most recently at Federated Media Publishing, where she has helped marketers and independent publishers in conversational marketing and display advertising. Prior to that, she covered the interactive advertising industry as managing editor at ClickZ, ChannelSeven.com and Internet Advertising Report, which were all eventually folded under the ClickZ brand. She got her start in digital media at @NY, covering New York start-ups in the early years of the Internet business.

She studied at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where she earned a master’s degree with a concentration in new media. Before attending Columbia, Pamela was a radio reporter and editor at KTRH News in Houston. After stints on both coasts, she is now based in the Austin, Texas area.

She blogs about media and marketing at The River and about cooking, gardening and parenthood at Free Range.
