Yesterday at the Apple iPad Mini launch event I had a chance to play with the smaller Apple tablet for about 10 minutes. It initially did look and feel to me, contrary to the statements of Apple SVP Phil Schiller, like a "shrunken iPad." Facebook has released its Q3 financials and there are some solid numbers in the all-important advertising category. Overall, revenue was up to $1.26 billion for the quarter, a 32 percent gain over Q3 2011 and the third consecutive quarter of higher revenues. A new ad type can now be found across LinkedIn's self-service platform, video ads. LinkedIn Ads users will be able to run a video ad within the standard  300 x 250 px ad location and tie in their YouTube videos and tracking as well. According to Chitika more than 60 percent of North American iOS devices/iPhones showing up on its network have iOS 6 installed. Yahoo reported its first quarterly earnings with Marissa Mayer at the helm. She got a bit of a gift as Yahoo beat consensus analyst estimates.
