Facebook’s Realtime Insights To Arrive In A Matter Of Weeks

Moments ago at its fMC marketing event, Facebook confirmed plans to add realtime data to Facebook Insights.

During one of the breakout sessions, Facebook staff said, “in the coming weeks, Realtime Insights will be available to all users.” The comments were made in conjunction with a presentation slide discussing the benefits of brands being able to see and respond to Facebook activity as it happens.

Right now, Facebook Insights — its version of analytics for Facebook Page owners — operates with a 48-hour reporting delay, which is pretty much unacceptable to any business that’s serious about monitoring its online marketing. Worse yet, Insights has recently been suffering through lags of up to 3-4 days in some accounts.

The announcement of Realtime Insights isn’t exactly a surprise — we and others wrote about it earlier this week.
