Skyword’s new president, Rob Murrary

Content marketing and production solution provider Skyword has appointed veteran search marketer Rob Murray as their new president. Before joining Skyword, Murray held various leadership roles for digital marketing company iProspect, serving as the company’s global president since 2009.

According to a release on Skyword’s site, Murray will be charged with expanding Skyword on a global level. “Rob brings extensive digital marketing leadership experience to his new role at Skyword, with a specialty in building and leading high performing global teams,” said Skyword CEO Tom Gerace, “His skillset will help us quickly ramp up operations to support our continued global push.”

The New York Times reports that Murray served as the CEO of iProspect US, and president, leading the company during its acquisition by Aegis in 2004. During Murray’s 15-year tenure at iProspect, the company employed more than 1,725 professionals in 55 offices worldwide, serving 40 global markets.

Prior to iProspect, Murray worked as a strategy consultant for Bain and Company, Inc. The Skyword release notes that Murray was named to BtoB Magazine’s “Who’s Who in Search” for four consecutive years from 2008 to 2011, is a regular speaker at search industry events, and often quoted in digital marketing and search publications.

With a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Boston College’s Carroll School of Management Honors Program, Murray received his MBA from Harvard University.
