If you live in the U.S. and want to buy Google Glass without needing a friend’s invite, you can.

Google has opened up the Glass Explorer program again, just like it did a month ago, when supplies of the device ran out in less than 24 hours.

In a Google+ post this afternoon, Google says this isn’t the consumer launch of Glass — it’s the next step in the Explorer program for early adopters.

We learned a lot when we opened our site a few weeks ago, so we’ve decided to move to a more open beta. We’re still in the Explorer Program while we continue to improve our hardware and software, but starting today anyone in the US can buy the Glass Explorer Edition, as long as we have it on hand: google.com/glass.

The same rules apply as always for the Explorer program: U.S. residents only, must be at least 18 years old, and the biggie — must be willing to spend $1,500 plus tax to get Glass.
