San Francisco-based marketing platform Gravity4 has scooped up native retargeting firm Trigitt, also headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Triggit, a venture backed company, launched in 2005 and was one of the initial demand-side platforms (DSP) to join the Facebook Exchange (FBX). Triggit continues to hold a seat on the Facebook Ad Exchange and has expanded its programmatic native retargeting solutions beyond Facebook.

“We are proud to announce our seventh acquisition and welcome Triggit to the Gravity4 family”  said, Gurbaksh Chahal, Chairman and CEO of Gravity4 in the announcement. “This adds a unique offering to our product suite, allowing us to enter various additional verticals, including travel and ecommerce, and introduce native programmatic advertising to the marketplace.”

Gravity4, which was founded less than a year ago by Gurbaksh Chahal, whose previous start-ups include BlueLithium and RadiumOne, will integrate Triggit’s native programmatic and dynamic retargeting capabilities into its expanding marketing platform.

“We are huge supporters of Gravity4’s greater vision in driving automation across a $100 billion advertising industry by integrating key assets into a singular self-serve platform. By adding Triggit’s dynamic retargeting abilities, it will allow Gravity4 to extend their capabilities across various new verticals,” said Santo Politi, Board Member, Investor of Triggit & General Partner at Spark Capital.

The Gravity4 platform includes a multi-channel demand side platform (DSP) with access to social, mobile, web and video inventory, a data management platform (DMP) “persona store” which pulls data from multiple sources to create comprehensive consumer personas in real-time, and an app center with tools for social, web, email, mobile, CRM and location data.

Most of Triggit’s employees will go over to Gravity4, but its founders, CEO Zach Coelius, his sister COO Susan Coelius Keplinger and CTO Ryan Tecco, are leaving the company.
