Improved Audience Interaction: Google+ On Air Hangouts Get Slick Q&A Upgrade

Today Google+ Hangouts On Air relieved some impressive updates that will help fuel interaction and interactivity. The new feature has been dubbed the lengthy “Live Q&A for Hangouts On Air ” moniker and allows the presenter to view and answer questions in a format that allows others to follow along.

Presenters will now be able to select questions to answer and allow users to follow along on-screen. Questions can be solicited from up to one million concurrent viewers – not just those who are onscreen. Participating users can also vote on questions that they would like to see answered.

Each question is timestamped and marked to the specific spot when answered on the video, so even the non-live viewers can follow along (and properly rewind & fast forward.) Every video that contains the question and answer functionality will show in the newsfeed with a yellow box:

Q&A-Happen

The Live Q&A will be rolled out fully on the desktop over the next few days and in view-only format on Android.
