Google Reader dies today. It’s just one of many Google products that, over the years, Google decided to abandon. It joins Google Health, Knol, Picnik, Sidewiki, Notebook and others.

    The spirits risen from the graveyard have inspired the birth of many startups. Lo, empires are built upon the ashes of the dead! When Notebook fell week and ailing, I found the young Evernote in a basket of reads by denial. O, how the mighty have fallen.

    Ha! Nice infographic! We all knew it would be just a matter of time before Google Reader phased out… RSS just isn’t really simple syndication anymore. ;)
