LinkedIn To Acquire Bizo In A Deal Valued At $175 Million

Linkedin Logo In an effort to build out its marketing and mobile products, LinkedIn announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Bizo, a B2B marketing technology provider. According to the announcement, the deal is valued at approximately $175 million. Microsoft Reports $23 Billion In Revenue For Q4 2014

Apple Posts Record Q3 Revenue Numbers In June Earnings Report

These numbers are up from the numbers posted in Q3 2013, which were revenue of $35.3 billion and net profit of $6.9 billion. Rakuten’s Quarterly Report Shows Growth On All Fronts, With Mobile Commerce Up 87%

rakuten-r-logo Based on its 2014 2Q results, Rakuten Marketing has experienced year-over-year growth on all fronts, including mobile, search and affiliate marketing. The company reported mobile phone orders in its affiliate channel have increased 87 percent in the US. Rakuten also saw international mobile commerce growth, with the UK up 117 percent, Canada 197 percent, Japan 32 percent, and Australia 28 percent. Italian Privacy Police Give Google 18 Months To Make Changes

google-italy-800 European privacy regulators have been critical of Google's unified privacy policy since it was announced in early 2012. They have demanded various changes, including more disclosures to users, to bring the law in compliance with EU and individual country rules. Italy is the latest country to issue what amounts to an ultimatum to Google to change its privacy practices or face fines (up to $1 million euros) and unspecified "possible criminal proceedings," according to Reuters. Google Q2: $16B Revenue, CPCs Down, SVP Arora Leaving

That represented a 22 percent increase vs. last year and 3 percent growth since last quarter. Microsoft Cutting 18K Jobs As It Integrates Nokia And Tries To “Move Faster”

Yahoo Earnings Disappoint, But Search And Mobile Revs Up

Yahoo Q2 earnings Yahoo's second quarter earnings disappointed investors who had expected somewhat higher numbers. However, there were a number of encouraging spots around product and user metrics and isolated revenue improvements. Feds: Amazon Let Kids Buy In-App Goods Without Consent

Kindle Fire In January, Apple agreed to refund consumers $32.5 million to settle an FTC complaint that it charged parents for their kids' in-app purchases without adult consent. Tiananmen Date Over, Chinese Unblock Access To Google

Google China Now that the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square pro-democracy protest and crackdown are over, China has restored access to Google services in the country. They had been totally blocked for roughly a month in the run up to the anniversary.
