Vimeo Reports 100 Million Users & 400K Paying Subscribers

vimeo-icon-logo Online video has become synonymous with YouTube, but IAC wants people to know its own video property, Vimeo, is doing pretty well, too. IAC revealed yesterday that Vimeo has passed the 100 million user plateau. For the sake of comparison, that puts it about one-tenth of YouTube's size. Google says YouTube sees more than a billion unique users each month. On the financial front, IAC told Reuters that Vimeo has about 400,000 paying subscribers and took in about $40 million in revenue over the past year. The company hopes to grow those numbers. Yahoo Inks Video Content And Ad Targeting Deal With Starcom

In the deal announced today, Yahoo and Publicis Groupe's Starcom division will work together to develop and target unique video content for Starcom's brand clients on Yahoo properties. Nielsen To Include Web And Mobile Viewing In TV Ratings

Nielsen To capture the changing video viewing habits and options available to consumers, Nielsen announced today it will add digital video consumption to its traditional TV ratings, starting with the 2014-15 television season. After months of testing, Nielsen will release the software developer kit (SDK) in mid-November. Vine Users Can Now Edit Videos & Work On More Than One At A Time

Report: Brands Using Consumer-Generated Videos On Retail Product Pages See A 38% Sales Lift

video-content-money-featured According to a test program conducted by video sharing platform EXPO, brands that placed consumer-generated video content on their product pages saw a 38 percent lift in sales compared to brands that failed to use video content. Brands Dominate Instagram Videos: 40% Of Top Shared Videos Are From Brands

The marketing technology company Unruly released a report today that analyzed the top 1,000 most shared Instagram videos. Surprisingly 40% of the videos came directly from brands. Of all brands, the most shared was MTV, with 84 videos in the top 1,000. MTV's Instagram videos totaled 134,110 shares altogether across Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere. Facebook’s First Video Ads Are Coming To Mobile

Report: Mobile Video Campaigns Earn 13.64% CTR, Far Outperforming Desktop

Video click A mobile video engagement report from video technology company Unruly discovered the average CTR of mobile video campaigns has more than tripled in the last twelve months, growing from 3.73 percent in Q4 of 2012 to 13.64 percent this year. Study: Number Of People Who Share Or Post Videos Online Has Doubled Since 2009

Report: One Quarter Of Tablet Video Views Happen In Primetime, CTR On Pre-Roll Ads Higher On Mobile Devices
