Based on search and click trends for the four weeks leading up to November 9, Experian claims the most popular product searches included fitness gadgets, mobile devices and game consoles. E-Commerce To Cross $200 Billion Threshold This Year

Report: Brands Using Consumer-Generated Videos On Retail Product Pages See A 38% Sales Lift

video-content-money-featured According to a test program conducted by video sharing platform EXPO, brands that placed consumer-generated video content on their product pages saw a 38 percent lift in sales compared to brands that failed to use video content. Ecommerce Lima Consulting Group and tag auditing firm ObservePoint audited Internet Retailer's top 100 companies of 2012 to examine how retailers are deploying tag management systems and determine connections between site load times and site overhead. Retention Science logo Based on data pulled from 100 million online transactions, 20 million user profiles and 100 email campaigns, marketing solution provider Retention Science discovered online shoppers are twice as likely to respond to free shipping offers versus price discounts. Amazon And eBay Same Store Sales Growing Faster Than Overall Ecommerce

Amazon & Ebay Marketplace growth outpaces overall ecommerce market ChannelAdvisor's August report on Same Store Sales (SSS) shows that, despite slight dips from July, Amazon and eBay continue to show stronger growth than the ecommerce market as a whole. Amazon SSS rose 24 percent in August while eBay SSS increased by 19 percent, compared to 16 percent growth for overall ecommerce (excluding travel) in Q2 as reported by comScore.
