Sundance Film Festival Park City Utah The Sundance Film Festival, founded in 1981 by actor/director/producer Robert Redford takes place every January in Park City, Utah.

Traditionally, the Sundance Film Festival highlights independent film makers and documentaries. In the age of digital media, the festival content has expanded to feature films and interactive discussion panels that focus on how the industry has shifted with new forms of distribution and buzz building mechanisms in today’s media landscape.
