Marin Software Officially IPOs: Stock Up 20%

Marin Software, one of the leading search and social marketing platform providers, has officially IPO'ed this morning at The New York Stock Exchange. The IPO looked to be a hit, with their stock price currently up over 20%. The IPO price was $14.00 per share with 7,500,000 shares. The high went to $19.95 per share, and it is currently at $16.90 per share. The ticker Marin Software is listed under is NYSE:MRIN. Federated Media Publishing’s Founder Returns To Helm, As CEO Deanna Brown Moves On

Federated Media Publishing's CEO, Deanna Brown, is stepping down to be replaced by the person she replaced herself -- chairman, founder and former CEO John Battelle. Brown joined FMP in 2009 to take the media company "to the next level." AdBrite Ad Exchange Will Close Its Doors By End Of Month

The once popular advertising exchange adBrite is closing its doors on February 1st. AdBrite claimed to be the largest independent ad exchange with a transparent marketplace, yet won't be able to keep the doors open any longer. A recent post from B.L. Ochman on Ad Age took a look at the semantics behind the jobs titles of those working in social media. Using FollowerWonk, Ochman pulled the precise titles of anyone that worked in a field related to social media. The overall results showed 181,354 users that were on Twitter with the phrase "social media" in their job title, up from the 19,000 with "social media" in their title when they first began tracking in 2009.
