Pinterest Bolsters Its E-Commerce Ties With Shopify Partnership

Gettin’ ‘GIFfy’ With It: Pinterest Experiments With Animated GIFs On Boards

Pinterest-Animated-GIF Oh CompuServe GIF file. The longer you age, the more prominent you become. Fashion search engine "Wantering" noticed that some of the animated GIFs they uploaded began to feature the ability to view a play the GIFs directly from the pin board. When Wantering was logged into their account, a play button with "GIF" next to it appeared in the bottom left corner of the image. The caveat? Pinterest Expands Rich Pins With New-Look Article Pins For Publishers

pinterest-logo Interesting move today from Pinterest: the company has announced a special pin style for article pins, as part of the rich pins feature that launched earlier this year. Article pins have both a publisher/brand angle, and a consumer angle. On the publisher side, Pinterest is pitching the new pin style as a way to extend the shelf life of online content. Pinterest Introduces “Rich Pins” With More Content To Drive More Actions

pinterest-photos-featured In an effort to make its pins (images) more useful and actionable Pinterest is introducing more information into selected categories of pins: movies, products and recipes. These new "rich pins" provide additional background and information, depending on the category. After looking for some time this evening, I was unable to find any rich pins "in the wild."
