Ever find yourself yearning for one of those extreme makeovers you see on TV? Unfortunately we can’t grant that wish, but you can see yourself looking better than ever in your LinkedIn profile on a mobile device. A whole new look has arrived on LinkedIn mobile that adds flair to profiles while bringing pertinent information above the fold for quick consumption.

Code-named ‘Blue Steel’ internally, this update was geared to simplify and beautify the mobile experience.  The user profile pic is front and center and used again in the tasteful blurred ‘timeline-y’ background. The person’s company and job title are brought to the forefront for a compact, yet informative look. Additional benefits include the common interests that the viewer has with the profile they are viewing, a feature that LinkedIn hopes will incite conversations.

Currently 43% of LinkedIn’s audience accesses the service via mobile devices and the new profiles are available on both Android and iOS (iPhone & iPad). So if you haven’t seen your new professional look yet, download the app to see yourself shine.
