Great article. Educating prospects is half the battle. Often, we find clients initially ask for what they think they need without first asking why they need it. Our job as agencies should be to help them understand the current landscape and how the agency can help them navigate it.

Nice job! We at http://www.ProseMedia.com have had experiences like this quite often, and we continually have to inform our clients of their options and what we think is most suitable for them and their needs. Awareness of this issue is important – thanks for sharing.

Hi Rebecca. You nailed this post. Couldn’t agree with you more. The level of confusion is high and I have never read something that was so spot on. Every company really does need to spend hours of educating potential customers and even after that is done, many clients are more confused than before the whole process began. They know they need an online presence, but have no idea which option to pick or if they should pick everything. It is overwhelming. Fortunately, there are companies like Opentopic that have a content marketing platform, distribution for social media and publish newsletters. These cover many of the needed online marketing bases.
