To kick off its year-long 20th anniversary celebration, Pokémon has released an extended version of the 30-second spot it plans to air during the third quarter of Super Bowl 50. The video game company is the first advertiser to post its official game day ad.

“For 20 years, the Pokémon world has inspired fans to train hard and have fun,” says Pokémon’s senior director of consumer marketing J.C. Smith in a release announcing the Super Bowl spot, “This ad is reflective of that passion, and I can’t think of a bigger stage to share this story than the Super Bowl.”

In addition to the ad, the company has launched Pokémon20.com to help promote its #Pokemon20 anniversary campaign, and is asking followers to share their favorite Pokémon moments on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Filmed in Rio de Janeiro, the Pokémon Super Bowl “Train On” spot is a collection of inspirational scenes led by children with hidden references to the video game.
