Sandberg Leads All-Star Lineup At Facebook’s First FMC Conference For Marketers

facebook-fmcFacebook is planning its first event specifically for marketers, and it boasts a lineup of heavy hitters from inside the company.

They’re calling it fMC — an invite-only event happening on February 29th in New York City from noon to 6:00 pm. It comes on the heels of Facebook’s IPO filing, and, now more than ever, the company needs to make friends with its advertisers.

The fMC website explains the event this way:

We are excited to announce the first fMC, a Facebook event specifically for marketers.

Join us as Facebook leaders, along with product and marketing experts, share our newest solutions, actionable insights, and proven strategies that demonstrate how you can use social technology to drive business growth.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg is delivering the keynote presentation, along with Chris Cox, Facebook’s VP of Product, and David Fischer, the company’s VP of Marketing, who also came up with the Sponsored Stories ad format. The Wall Street Journal just ran a short profile of Fischer a few days ago.

In addition to that powerhouse keynote, Facebook says there’ll be breakout sessions and a “fireside chat” between Sandberg and “an esteemed guest.”

If you don’t have an invite, it looks like Facebook will livestream at least some of the event.
