“The truth is that these days, your data is an organizational asset – perhaps the most valuable one you have.”
So true! To me, very analogous to fertile farmland — add the right farmers, tools and practices, you can grow tremendous bounty.

Great insight David. I’d add in here, there are great tools, but you still need skilled people, (or an agency like Cardinal Path) to manage and connect all this together for you on an ongoing strategic basis. Here at Ensighten in Australia, we’ve just certifed another 14 folks from data-driven agencies on our platform, as we do around the globe.

Hey David, nice post. You mentioned WASP as a way to test your implementation, but I would also recommend Tag Inspector. It can scan your site in real-time to ensure your tags like GA or your tag management solution are included on all the pages and functioning properly. You can also set it up to scan regularly

I put together a post on “Tag Auditing Best Practices”, which I think you’ll find valuable.

*Full disclosure: I work for InfoTrust, who created Tag Inspector.
