Top 10 video creators in February: BuzzFeed Tasty down 1B views but still ranks No. 1

Video analytics firm Tubular Labs says the top 100 video creators saw a 10% drop in views last month.

After earning a total 42 billion video views in January, video analytics firm Tubular Labs reports the top 100 video creators saw a 10-percent drop in views for February, generating a combined 37.6 billion views across YouTube, Facebook, Vine and Instagram.

Of those 37.6 billion video views, BuzzFeed Tasty pulled 1.9 billion, ranking No. 1 for the third month in a row. While still at the top of the list, BuzzFeed Tasty’s total views dropped by more than a billion after setting a record in January with three billion video views.

Following BuzzFeed Tasty was newcomer Vlechten met Daan, the creator behind many fashion, beauty and food videos. The online women’s magazine won 1.1 billion views to rank No. 2 for its debut appearance on Tubular’s top 10 list.

The NBA rose four spots since January to rank No. 3, with 917 million views.

In addition to tracking the top video creators, Tubular also ranked the most-watched brands for February.

Lego and Red Bull kept the top two spots but switched places. Lego took the No. 1 spot with 185 million views in February. After leading in January, Red Bull dropped to second place with 161 million views.

New brands to the list included PlayStation, which debuted at No. 3, and Super Bowl brands Samsung (#5), Hyundai (#6) and Amazon (#10). Turkish Airlines and The Telegraph were also newcomers to Tubular’s ranking of the most-watched brands.
