    This feature should definitely improve the exposure of brand updates in FB. But i still think companies shouldn’t rely on FB to broadcast their updates, since it’s a walled garden they have no control over. Sending email newsletter, building a community through their own forums, etc are much better ways. Your thoughts, Greg?

    Greater emphasis on brands?!?! Do you really think that businesses are asking to placed in a dark corner, cordoned off from the space that consumers actually view?
    What business would actually ask for this? All the change means is that facebook page posts are irrelevant unless they’re “promoted”. So basically FB just made their entire system a pay-to-play model for businesses

    Goodbye facebook, hello Twitter(?)
