If you’re an active user of the Twitter application on an iOS or Android device, you’ll likely enjoy the newest feature that Twitter has rolled out: an improved Connect tab, which aims to aid users in follower discovery.

The Connect tab lets you learn of users that Twitter’s algorithm thinks are most relevant to your interests. It will be consistently refined and is based on the people you follow, tweets you favorite, popular accounts in the local area and what may be happening in the world that would be of interest to follow. Twitter will also let you know exactly why they’re recommending these users to you.

Under the new tab, you’ll also be able to sync your address book to connect to even more users, such as friends, family and coworkers. If someone new joins Twitter from the address book, the Connect tab, too, will let you know — very much like Instagram letting you know when a Facebook friend has signed up. This feature isn’t particularly new, but it is now more accessible and easier to use under the new Connect tab.

To experience the new Connect tab, simply update your Twitter app to the latest version. It’s rolled out already on iOS and Android and just needs an app refresh to be spotted.
