Too bad for Hulu that its web offerings have been available to GoogleTV users via Plex and PlayOn.tv for quite some time now. So Hulu original programming is available free to GoogleTV users- also to Roku and LG STB users as well. I guess I’ll save that 7.99 per month anyway.

The author of the article missed the whole point of Google tv, its not tv, its the internet on your tv. I don’t need hulu, I have a chrome browser and I can find any show or.movie streaming online for free. Hulu plus can kiss my behind if they think I’m paying for what’s available free. It’s not meant to be DVR like, which is the other complaint against it. It’s the internet on your tv, with apps, no more, no less. The author is so obviously an Apple iclown.

The author (being me) understands the point of Google TV pretty well, having been there for the launch and having talked to Google about it ample times It was designed to allow you to find TV content wherever it lived, be it free on the web, paid on the web or on your own DVR. It absolutely was meant to be DVR like, to the degree it had tight integration with Dish DVRs.

The author (again being me) actually owns two Google TVs. I’ve used them extensively. The fact is they haven’t lived up to Google’s original goal.

The main reasons I use Google TV is to search for a channel or program [as your photo above shows] and more importantly to search the web and view e-mails on my tv, something none of the other devices do. as yankeesrule587 said, i don’t need it for hulu plus or to be dvr like. I have it and have been very happy with it.

We also heard initial feedback from users that they want Nexus Q to do
even more than it does today. In response, we have decided to postpone
the consumer launch of Nexus Q while we work on making it even better.
