If you are someone that yearns for curated human answers to their questions, Bing’s new product might be for you.

“Distill” is a new Bing product that looks to be a community of connected folks — some with questions, some with answers.

The answers can be reviewed, edited by the community and easily searched to keep the knowledge available for others. Little else has been leaked about the service, except that users with Microsoft accounts can request an invite on the Distill website.

Back in 2006 MSN launched a live “Windows QnA” service that had a variety of names, but a short lifespan – dying off in 2009. Before that Google Answers had a 5 year run until being shut down in 2006. However, the reemergence of sites like Quora the social Q&A style show that the medium isn’t dead yet.

For more information and to request an invite, head on over to the Bing Distill website.
