New administrator levels are rolling out to Facebook pages today, each with a unique set of permissions and allotments.  There will now be 5 separate rolls for admins:

  • Manager
  • Content Creator
  • Moderator
  • Advertiser
  • Insights Analyst
The following chart from Facebook shows the permissions for each of the separate roles:

In addition to the admin roles, post scheduling has been released for page admins.  In order to schedule a post, simply go to your page’s timeline, choose the status type and click on the small clock in the bottom left.  You will then be prompted to add a year, month, hour and minute.  Once added, you can then simply click on the “schedule” button and your post will appear at that specific time:

This functionality seems a bit clunky at the moment, as users have to choose from 5 separate dropdowns,  but could pose a threat to 3rd party management tools like HootSuite and TweetDeck.
